The Pattern of Prayer (Part 2)

Writer's picture: Anthony MirandaAnthony Miranda

When the disciples ask the Lord to teach them how to pray. Jesus taught them how to pray, and not what to pray for. The widely known "Lord's Prayer", remembered by many as the "Our Father", is actually a template that teaches us the 10 elements of a prayer. Jesus wants intimacy whenever we pray, and we can do that when we pray using our personal words and not some phrases we memorized and recited like some incantation or magic spell. As we continue with the second part of the "Pattern for Prayer", we will  see from the Lord's Prayer the prayers for cleansing, release, protection, deliverance and victory. Jesus told us to admit our faults, to release those who have hurt us, to guard our hearts, to depend on God's power and to praise God for ultimate victory. Learn more of it here!
