May 12, 2019
It is God's command to honor our mothers. At Agape, we do not just honor them, we love them. A well attended Mother's Day Sunday brought smiles and laughters to everyone in attendance. The men serenaded them with the song "Isn't She Lovely?", by Stevie Wonder before they were given flowers and cupcakes. Everyone enjoyed free lunch courtesy of the church.

Led by these ladies with heart of service, we had another successful "Lunch Sale". Proceeds from this fund raising continue to build up our benevolent funds. Like what Paul said to the christians of Philippi, "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 4:2). We wish to thank all those who, in way or the other, had supported this event.
The Life Sydney Dotimas-Miranda
March 31, 2019
Having them all in reverse. Putting work before God took her to a route that is not just difficult, but also unrewardingly exhausting. Sydney was raised in a Jehovah's Witness background, and later converted to Catholicism because of her marriage to her husband Jinno. He caught her husband cheating, they lost their home and they were separated when she discovered that she was pregnant with their second child. Her sister accused her husband of something that caused adversities and infighting. Until she was led by the Holy Spirit to seek counsel from Pastor Anthony that eventually led to her discovery of the God side of the story. Hear more of her story.
The Life Testimony of Joseph Steward
March 17, 2019
Joe Stewart was born in San Diego. He was very curious to find out who God is. First accepted Jesus in 1975 as his Savior and was baptized. He stopped coming to church because of hypocrites in the church, which he considers himself to be one. Left home when he was 17. He dropped out of high school, and in the winter of '77, they drove from Tacoma to Pennsylvania. Due to bad weather, highways were closed, but they're stubborn enough to continue by driving through an old mountain highway where they got stuck in snow in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. They shut off the engine of their car, covered themselves with blankets, and used lighters for heat. Through the window from the backseat, he saw a silhouette of a house, so he thought of going out and try to get help. But somebody told him in his mind not to do it and instead just stay in the car. In the morning, the tow truck came, he looked at the house, and it didn't have any walls. Because of the freezing weather, it could be that if he got out of the car, he may have not been able to survive. He believed that right there, the Lord saved him. Hear more of his story.
Benevolent Fund Raiser was a Success!
March 03, 2019
Pastor Justin Siron sponsored the creation of benevolent fund to help church members who are in need of dire assistance. After the Board of Elders approved the proposal, a group of Agape Ladies led by Debbie Jesuitas came up with the idea of raising benevolent funds through lunch sale. The funds will be managed by the Membership Board. The church family wishes to say thank you so much to all the kind hearted donors, to to all those who patronized the lunch sale and to all those who are behind the success of this fund raising.

In the whole month of December, we collected donations particularly blankets, jackets and sweaters that could help our homeless brethren in downtown San Diego to stay warm this winter season. On December 23, the church family packed lunch bags that we distributed along with the donated materials. Volunteers offered prayers and encouragements. Sharing the love of God the Agape way. ❤️
